MP&E Web Programmer/Designer
(up to 15 hours/week)The Music Production and Engineering Department seeks a reliable and self-motivated student with a thorough knowledge of web programming, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills. Under the direction of the Program Associate and Chairman of MP&E, this position is responsible for web server maintenance and script/code writing to maintain and update the department's website: mpe.berklee.edu.
Candidates will be a part of the MP&E Web team, and collaborate with the MP&E Media Archive Assistant, department, faculty and staff as needed. This position is responsible for the management of projects and server-side issues. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate examples of previous web site construction and be able to commit to at least four semesters of employment. Previous supervisory experience is preferred, although not required. Training, access to computers and all appropriate authoring, graphics, and audio software will be provided.
This is a very demanding position which requires very flexible hours, thorough knowledge of MP&E procedures, and a high level of responsibility, availability, commitment, and self-motivation.

MP&E OFFICE ASSISTANT
The Music Production & Engineering Office seeks a mature, motivated and responsible student to work 6-15 hours/week. The ideal candidate will be an MP&E student with previous customer service experience, excellent interpersonal and telephone skills, and the ability to exercise good judgment. Fluency in another language is useful.
Candidate must be proficient with Macintosh OS-X, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and will be trained on scheduling and other software as needed. Duties include: handling incoming calls, greeting students and parents, answering common questions about our admissions process and the program, communicating policies and protocols to students, scheduling appointments, photocopying, filing, assisting faculty members with other duties as assigned.
We need a “self starter” and “team player”, someone who can identify a need and fulfill it without having to necessarily be asked, and someone who will strongly represent our program to current and prospective students and their parents. Our office can become incredibly hectic and if you believe you can manage multiple tasks and stay cool under pressure, we’d like to hear from you.
