Darfur Project CDMP&E and the Berklee Women's Network Proudly Announce the Release of:
Original music inspired by the crisis in DarfurJoin us in congratulating MP&E Associate Professor, Leanne Ungar, for the release of this highly anticipated album. Spearheaded by the Women's Network at Berklee, a songwriting contest yielded the tracks for this album. Production began in 2005 with Leanne acting as coordinator, engineer, and mentor to (15) faculty members for the (18) student compositions recorded. Leanne is Executive Producer of the album and without her leadership, and the support of several MP&E Faculty members, this very important project may not have been possible. Special thanks go to: Stephen Croes, Rob Jaczko, Carl Beatty, Jeanine Cowen, Marty Walsh, Stephen Webber, Mark Wessel, Jeff Largent, Rich Mendelson, and Mitch Benoff, all who either produced or mixed the tracks on the album in true collaborative spirit. Special special thanks to Kris Quiñones for facilitating every form of trouble we sent her way. All proceeds from the sale of the album will be donated to MerciCorps, who is working to assist women and their families in rebuilding their communities and their lives in Darfur. You may purchase the CD at iTunes. Click HERE to listen to sample tracks on the album. |
