Eddie Bayers: Drumming Up the Music Business Tue Oct 07, 2008 @ 01:00PM Eddie Bayers is Nashville’s first-call drummer and certainly one of the busiest musicians in the world. A list of his credits would be too large to fit on this page, but a partial list of stars he has worked with include Vince Gill, Alan Jackson, Steve Winwood, Peter Frampton, Bob Seeger, Triisha Yearwood, Garth Brooks, and Kenny Chesney. He has received the Drummer of the Year Award for 11 straight years, something that no other artist or musician has done. He was elected to the NARAS (National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences) Board of Governors in 1992 through 1994 and 1997-2001 Eddie has also been working as a producer. Artists Eddie has produced include Rosanne Cash, Glen Cambell, Lane Brody as well as and the soundtrack of the movie, A Thing Called Love. John will draw from his 30+ years of design experience, having produced some of the most legendary studios in the world beginning with Jimmy Hendrix's Electric Lady Land in New York City. John will discuss in detail many of the great rooms around the world that he has designed, and apply those concepts to practical solutions for project studios in smaller spaces. On Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at 6pm authors Brian Kehew and Kevin Ryan will be presenting their very special book: Recording the Beatles. Never before has there been such an absolutely thorough and definitive look at how the Beatles Albums were recorded. Years of research and extensive interviews with the group’s former engineers and technicians shed new light on those classic sessions. With a detailed look at every piece of studio gear used, full explanations of effects and recording processes, and an inside look at how specific songs were recorded.
