NO EXCEPTIONS. This kind of behavior demonstrates complete disregard to the integrity of our studios, staff and fellow students. It is also a college wide policy. Anyone who commits this offense will be immediately suspended for 4 weeks, sent to the Department Chair and Student Affairs. Don't do it!
Waves has just announced version 7 of their plug-ins.
DO NOT UPGRADE TO THIS VERSION until you get an "all clear" instruction from Tech Faculty or Staff.
Apparently there are some issues with the new upgrade that until resolved could stop you from using the plug-ins. Watch this space for new information.
We always strongly discourage students to update any of the audio software on their laptop without the blessing of faculty and staff.
Any further questions or problems with your bundles? Visit the Laptop Support office, their office hours are posted on this website.
There was a theft reported in Studio B at 10:30pm last weekend. A man with
short light brown hair in a red T-Shirt and jeans posed as a student filling
out paperwork in the control room. He blended in and the students who were
setting up in the studio assumed he was a friend of someone involved on the
session. He walked away carrying a Whole Foods shopping bag which we believe
contained one of the student's laptop and iPhone.
The theft was reported to Berklee Public Safety and an investigation is
ongoing. Photos of this person will be posted around the campus. Students
should feel safe to some degree while working in our studios but it's
important for us to remember that we are an open campus and people from the
outside can enter our premises. Therefore, we need to increase our awareness
when working in the studios.
