New Scholarship Opportunity for Spring '10
We are pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the newly established William Randolph Hearst Endowed Scholarship. This award is designed to recognize outstanding achievement by a Music Production and Engineering/Music Synthesis (Electronic Production and Design) dual major or a single major in one of the two technology division majors. The deadline for applications is Friday December 4, 2009. Finalists will be selected to interview with the selection committee. Interviews will take place in late December or early January. The recipient will receive a $4600 tuition credit for the Spring 2010 semester.

Recent Theft in Studios:
There was a theft reported in Studio B at 10:30pm last weekend. A man with
short light brown hair in a red T-Shirt and jeans posed as a student filling
out paperwork in the control room. He blended in and the students who were
setting up in the studio assumed he was a friend of someone involved on the
session. He walked away carrying a Whole Foods shopping bag which we believe
contained one of the student's laptop and iPhone.
The theft was reported to Berklee Public Safety and an investigation is
ongoing. Photos of this person will be posted around the campus. Students
should feel safe to some degree while working in our studios but it's
important for us to remember that we are an open campus and people from the
outside can enter our premises. Therefore, we need to increase our awareness
when working in the studios.
